Tangkoko located at the foot of Dua Saudara Mountain, the Tangkoko National Park is one of the important rain-forrest in Sulawesi for local Flora and Fauna. Tangkoko is also home for several Endemics such as Tarsius Spectrum (one of the smallest known primates), Black Macaque Monkey, Sulawesi Red-Knobbed Hornbill, The Cuscus Bear and many others. Infact, now days Tangkoko National Park is become one of the famous sport for Birding Tour in Indonesia. Tangkoko Batuangus Reserve offers a suitable protective environment to help prevent these animals from becoming extinct.
The 1 Day Tangkoko Tour is starting from Manado City or Tomohon City. We also organize Shore Excursion Tours from Bitung Port for additional $20 / Person. Just select the Shore Excursion from Bitung Port option at checkout.
Morning
The best to explore the rain-forest for the Tangkoko Tour is Early Morning at 5AM and Afternoon at 4PM. So for Regular Tangkoko Tour, you will be pickup before Lunch Time from Manado or Tomohon, transfer to Tangkoko where you will have lunch first and at 3PM you will be start walking inside the Park. The target is to see Cuscus Bear, Red-Knobbed Hornbill, Tarsius Spectrum and we will also do Birding along the way.
As for Shore Excursion Tours, since your trip is during the day time, so as soon as you arrive in Tangkoko in the morning from Bitung Port, you will be entering the Park directly. We will provided Lunch Setup by the beach.
Pickup from your Hotel in Manado or Tomohon City approximately at 10AM. Departing to Tangkoko National Park, we proceed 2 hours drive to the 8700-hectare National Park. On the way, we will stop at Old Stone Grave or Minahasan People call Waruga. Arrive in Batu Putih Village of Tangkoko, we will stop at Local Restaurant for Lunch. After Lunch, we will start entering the park. We will hike in search of the Black Crested Macaque (Black Monkey indigenous to North Sulawesi) as well as the famous Tarsius Tarsier. Cameras, long pants and a flashlight are the order of the day. Exciting trip for nature lovers, trekkers, and anyone who likes the outdoors.
