4 Days Lake Toba Tour

Lake Toba and Samosir Island, which is located in the middle of the huge lake, offer a complete tourism package encompassing beautiful scenery, unique Batak culture and traditions, and intriguing history. Lake Toba is indeed not just an ordinary lake but is the largest volcanic lake on Earth.

The ancient lake has been formed by a steep-walled caldera produced during the Toba volcanos eruption, the largest known volcanic eruption on the planet in the past two million years. The powerful eruption, an extremely rare event, is called a supervolcanic eruption.

When viewed from space, the Toba caldera is one of the most striking volcanic craters on Earth, measuring 100 x 30 kilometers.

DAY 01: AIRPORT/MEDAN – SAMOSIR (Toledo Inn / Tabo Cottages / Samosir Villa)
Arrival at Kualanamu International Airport drive to Parapat via Tebing Tinggi, on the way stop at several plantation for rubber, cocoa and palm oil, arrival at Parapat crossing to Samosir Island by ferry boat and arrival at Samosir check in to hotel.

DAY 02: SAMOSIR – EXCURSION (B)
After breakfast excursion by car or boat on Lake Toba and visiting several Batak Toba traditional village
Ambarita : To see stone chairs and table, the execution place of Sialagan Kings.
Tomok : To see the old tomb of Sidabutar Kings.
Simanindo: To se Batak Toba traditional dance ( Tor-Tor) and Museum.
Afternoon return back to hotel.

DAY 03: SAMOSIR – BRASTAGI (Sinabung Hills/Sibayak Int Htl/Grand Mutiara Hotel) (B)
After breakfast crossing back to Parapat and the drive to Brastagi via Simarjarunjung with stop at Rumah Bolon (Long House) the old Palace of Batak Simalungun Kings, and Sipiso-piso waterfall and Batak Karo traditional village at Dokan, arrival at Brastagi visiting fruit market. Afternoon check in to hotel.

DAY 04: BRASTAGI – MEDAN / AIRPORT (B)
After breakfast drive to Medan via Sembahe and Sibolangit, arrival in Medan city tour by visiting Sultan Palace, Grand Mosque and then transfer to airport your next destination.
